Nuremberg, Germany – adorsys, a leading technology company, is excited to announce the continuation and deepening of its collaboration with the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa (Wits), particularly with the School of Electrical and Information Engineering. Since 2023, adorsys has been working closely with Wits, leveraging the expertise of top-class interns from the school to drive innovation in the field of data science and technology.
The partnership between adorsys and Wits underscores a shared commitment to harnessing the power of cooperation between academia and industry. By bringing together the cutting-edge research capabilities of the university and the practical insights of adorsys, this association has yielded remarkable results.
“We are delighted to extend our collaboration with Wits,” says Friederike Toepffer, responsible for Operations in South Africa at adorsys. “Working with the talented interns from the School of Electrical and Information Engineering is incredibly rewarding. Their passion for innovation and dedication to excellence significantly contribute to our projects.”
Throughout the collaboration, interns such as George Marantos and Thendo Rabali have played a pivotal role in advancing research initiatives, including the investigation project titled “From Data Gathering to Decision-Making: An Inquiry Into Modern Data Lake Approaches”. Their work has not only highlighted their exceptional abilities but has also demonstrated the immense potential that emerges when academia and industry join forces.
